01Agreeing to these terms

By using presstronic.academy or joining our mailing list, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Presstronic LLC. “You” means the person using the site.

You must be at least 16 years old to join the mailing list. By signing up, you confirm that you are, and that the email address you’re giving us is yours or one you’re authorized to use.

04What we are, and aren’t, promising

Presstronic Academy is under development. Everything on this website describes what we intend to build. That includes the curriculum and the topics it covers, how the story, branching, test-out and certification features work, the 2027 launch window, and any benefits for “founding” members.

These are statements of intent, not commitments. Plans in software change. We are not promising any launch date, price, feature, topic, format, or benefit, and nothing on the site is an offer to sell you anything. Please don’t make financial, educational, or career decisions that depend on the product launching as described, or at all.

If we ever make a specific commitment to you, such as early access or founding-member pricing, we’ll put it in writing, in an email or in the product’s own terms, and that written commitment is what will count.

05The mailing list

• Joining is free and creates no account and no obligation on either side.
• We’ll email you only about the things you ticked a box for, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. It takes effect immediately.
• We may change what we send, how often, or stop running the list at any time.
• Please don’t sign up anyone else without their permission, and don’t use an address you aren’t authorized to use.

06Playtests, surveys and feedback

If you opted in to playtests or surveys, taking part is always voluntary. Anything we show you in a playtest is confidential and unfinished. Please don’t publish screenshots, recordings, or details of unreleased material unless we’ve told you in writing that you can.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you give us permission to use them to improve Presstronic Academy, free of charge and without owing you anything, while you keep any rights you already had in them. We won’t publish your feedback with your name attached without asking you first.

07Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected system;
• disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site, including through denial-of-service attacks or automated requests at a volume that affects performance;
• scrape, harvest, or collect data from the site by automated means, except for search-engine indexing that follows our robots.txt file;
• upload or transmit malware or any harmful code;
• submit false, misleading, or someone else’s information through our forms;
• use the site in any way that breaks the law, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

We may block access to anyone who does these things. If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to support@presstronic.com instead of exploiting it. We won’t take legal action against good-faith security research that follows that route.

08Our content and trademarks

The text, design, graphics, code, and other content of this site belong to Presstronic LLC or the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You’re welcome to view the site, link to it, share it, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy it wholesale, republish it, or present it as your own.

“Presstronic”, “Presstronic Academy”, and our logos are our trademarks. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or are connected to you.

The typefaces on this site, Archivo and IBM Plex Mono, are third-party works licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. That license, not these terms, governs their use.

If you believe something on the site infringes your intellectual property, write to support@presstronic.com and include enough detail for us to find it and check your claim.

09Links to other sites

We sometimes link to websites we don’t control, such as data protection regulators. We’re not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and linking to them doesn’t mean we endorse them.

10Disclaimer

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it free of charge and “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site, express or implied. That includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Nothing in this section limits any warranty or guarantee that the law says cannot be excluded. See Your consumer rights.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Presstronic LLC and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. We will also not be liable for any loss of profits, revenue, data, opportunity, or goodwill arising out of or relating to your use of the site, the mailing list, or your reliance on any statement about the planned product, even if we were told such loss was possible.

Because the site and mailing list are free, our total liability to you for all claims relating to them is limited to US $100.

None of this limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12Your consumer rights

If you’re using the site as a consumer, meaning for personal purposes and not for a business, you may have legal rights in the country or state where you live that a contract can’t take away. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

That includes, in particular, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the UK, the European Union and EEA, Australia, and Canada, including Québec’s Consumer Protection Act. Where any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory law that protects you, that law wins.

13Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard by the state or federal courts located in Seminole County, Florida, and both you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

If you’re a consumer living in the UK, the EU or EEA, or Canada, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country or province where you live. You may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

We don’t require arbitration and we don’t ask you to waive class actions. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at support@presstronic.com. Most problems are faster to fix by email than in court.

14Ending this agreement

You can stop using the site and leave the mailing list at any time. We may suspend or end your access to the site, or remove you from the list, if you break these terms, or if we close the list or the site. The sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law continue to apply after that.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version. If we make a change that materially affects mailing-list subscribers, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, you’re accepting the updated terms. If you don’t agree to them, you can unsubscribe and stop using the site.

• Whole agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site and the mailing list.
• Severability. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed only as far as necessary, and the rest stays in force.
• No waiver. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
• Assignment. We may transfer these terms to a successor if Presstronic LLC is reorganized, merged, or sold. You may not transfer them without our consent.
• Electronic communications. You agree that we can send you notices by email, and that electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement for them to be in writing.
• Language. These terms are written in English.
• No third-party rights. These terms don’t give anyone other than you and us any rights.
